Pimsleur Spanish: Download or CDs?
Pimsleur offers a rather confusing variety of programs, but I think the chart should help you figure out the
most commonly available ones.
Probably most people buy CDs for Pimsleurs, and they are certainly simpler than downloading, but I was very
pleased after a good bit of internet surfing to find a reputable source for Pimsleur Spanish downloads. Clicking on
the links under Downloads on the chart below takes you to the pertinent page of a website specializing in
audio downloads.
As the chart shows, you can get the first 10 lessons for about the same price on CD or via download, but
then the downloads win out. The website has information about file formats and how to use the program on an ipod or
CD player.
The prices were correct the day I went to the websites, but could change, and there are often used copies at
Amazon for lower prices.
I was a little surprised to discover that while the downloadable versions have a 30-day-guarantee from Talking
Book Store, it seems that the CDs from the original publisher or from Amazon do not. (I do imagine that defective
ones would be exchanged, though.)
There are other packages available as well, which you can see at either Talking Book Store or Amazon.
