"Se queda..." is like "you staying in..." or "you stay "in"... " (the "in" is understood in the sense) and "Ha estado..." is like "have been..." like You have been in/to Quito?.... verses You stayed in Quito?. La mujer me pregunta "se queda en Quito?" I was stumped. Hay una otra mujer eschuchando por la chalar y dijo "Ella pregunta si ha estado en Quito" I immediately understoon what she said but I only knew this phrase by "Ha estado en Quito antes?" Which is correct? Is the first correct in Quito y el otro correcto in eeuu. Any observations will be appreciated.
